The Awards Committee accepts nominations from members in good standing of the AADSM up to March 1 of each year for the Distinguished Service Award. This award ispresented at the Annual Meeting to individuals who have exhibited exceptional initiative, leadership and service in the field of dental sleep medicine. At the discretion of the board, this award may not be presented every year.
2014 Winner - Nancy Addy, DDS
The Awards Committee accepts nominations from members in good standing of the AADSM up to March 3 of each year for the Pierre Robin Academic Award. This award is presented at the Annual Meeting to individuals who have exhibited exceptional initiative and progress in the areas of education and academic research with original contributions to the field of dental sleep medicine. Final selection of the recipient will be based on this nomination form, the submission of a current Curriculum Vitae and an assessment of submitted recent publications in the field. At the discretion of the Board, this award may not be presented every year.
2014 Winner - Satoru Tsuiki, DDS, PhD
AADSM Honorary Membership is the Academy’s award for continued advances in the field of dental sleep medicine. The award is based on an individual’s significant, original and sustained contributions of a basic, clinical or theoretical nature evidenced by publications, patents, academic appointments and other efforts. Members of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine are invited to submit nominations to the Awards Committee. A statement highlighting the nominee’s scientific contributions and the reasons this individual deserves the honor should accompany the nomination. Candidates may or may not be current members of the AADSM. The award recipient will be invited to present a lecture at the AADSM Annual Meeting.
