Advocacy
The AADSM advocates improved patient care and adequate reimbursement for dental
sleep medicine services by focusing on enhancing relationships with members of
Congress, federal regulatory bodies including the FDA, third-party payers, and
affiliated organizations.
Annual Meeting
The AADSM Annual Meeting, hosted in conjunction with the APSS Annual Meeting
each June, presents numerous educational opportunities for members, including
continuing education classes, state-of-the art lectures, networking
opportunities, table clinics and exhibitor booths.
Awards

Certification
The American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine recognizes individuals with
expertise in dental sleep medicine for the management of sleep related
breathing disorders through examination and identifies individuals that possess
appropriate proficiency in the field of dental sleep medicine.

that will provide attendees the training necessary to implement a dental sleep
medicine component in their practice.

Practice Management
The Academy provides resources and training to keep members aware of
practice-related issues in dental sleep medicine. The AADSM helps new members
introduce a dental sleep medicine component into an existing dental practice

The AADSM also makes available a monthly email update and an international

of the AADSM addressing issues that affect practitioners involved in the
