Awards include: Pierre Robin Academic Award, Distinguished Service Award, Honorary Member. Clinical researchers and students are eligible for the AADSM Research Award Competition, which recognizes exceptional research in dental sleep medicine.
The American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine recognizes and supports the certification process conducted by the AADSM. The ABDSM exam identifies dentists who are proficient in dental sleep medicine for the management of sleep-related breathing disorders.
The AADSM Reimbursement Committee works to refine insurance support packages, including coding, procedures for reimbursements and sample letters.
The AADSM advocates for improved patient care and reimbursement for dental sleep medicine services by enhancing relationships with members of Congress, federal regulatory bodies including the FDA, third-party payers and affiliated organizations.

The Academy provides resources and training to keep members aware of practice-related issues in dental sleep medicine.
