The AADSM Health Policy Education Committee has developed a reimbursement guide to educate dental professionals and their administrative staff on the process of obtaining payments from private and public insurers for oral appliance therapy.

The Food and Drug Administration provides periodic updates on approved oral appliances for the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. The AADSM has developed directions on how to search for FDA-approved appliances.

Medicare Reimbursement
The AADSM provides timely analysis on draft Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) addressing Oral Appliance Therapy for Obstructive Sleep Apnea as they are published by four area DME MACs. Each resourse includes links to the appropriate regional LCDs and answers to common questions about medicare reimbursement.
