Membership Categories

Membership with the American Academy of Dental Medicine is open to credentialed dentists, researchers, educators and administrators with an interest in dental sleep medicine. The AADSM also offers special FREE membership to students and retired AADSM members.

Regular Membership

Annual Dues: $345.00

Individuals who hold one or more of the following degrees: DDS, DMD, MD, PhD, DO, BDS or other international degree equivalent, and are a licensed dentist or physician in their place of residence. Regular members have all rights and privileges of membership, including subscriptions to Sleep and Breathing and all other publications and informational mailings developed by the AADSM. Regular members have full voting rights.

Student Membership

Free

Students who are enrolled full time in formal training programs leading to one or more of the following dental or medical degrees: DDS, DMD, MD, PhD, DO, BDS or equivalent international degree, or MS, and who upon completion of the degree program plan to be licensed as a physician or dentist in their place of residence, active in Dental Sleep Medicine. A Regular member returning for a secondary degree that is not related to dentistry or medicine is not eligible for Student membership. Student members receive subscriptions to all publications and informational mailings developed by the AADSM except Sleep and Breathing. Student members do not have voting rights.

Emeritus Membership (Retired)

Free

Active members in good standing who have held Regular membership for a minimum of ten (10) consecutive years and are no longer earning an income from the performance or service as a member of the faculty of a dental school, as a dental administrator or consultant, or practitioner of any kind in which a license to practice dentistry is required. Emeritus members receive subscriptions to all publications and informational mailings developed by the AADSM except Sleep and Breathing. Emeritus members do not have voting rights.
