The AADSM Mastery Program Scholarship was developed to provide support to dentists practicing in underserved communities and dentists who are active-duty military members. The goal is to improve access to oral appliance therapy - a proven, effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, provided by an AADSM Qualified Dentist.
The scholarship will be awarded to up to five dentists who meet the necessary criteria, providing complimentary registration for each recipient to enroll in the AADSM Mastery Program, a comprehensive, unbiased continuing educational program for dentists aiming to provide snoring and sleep apnea solutions.
To date, more than 4,000 dentists have been trained through the AADSM Mastery Program. Upon completion of the program, dentists are also eligible to apply for the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine certification examination.
| The AADSM Mastery Program is a two-part program consisting of Mastery 1 and Mastery 2. The first part of the program is completely virtual. The second part involves a virtual component and an in-person weekend workshop held at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry several times throughout the year. |
| “Obstructive sleep apnea impacts millions of Americans every year. Unfortunately, a large percentage of those patients never receive a proper diagnosis or treatment. One way to help is to make sure there are local dentists trained to provide oral appliance therapy throughout the country. These scholarships will provide the necessary training and tools to dentists practicing in areas that need it most.” |
- Kevin Postol, DDS, AADSM President
Applications will be accepted until March 15, 2026. The AADSM Mastery Committee will review applications and recommend up to five scholarship recipients to the AADSM Board of Directors. Notification will be sent via email to the email address provided on the application.
Selected recipients will receive complimentary registration for the 2026 AADSM Mastery Program ($7,000 value). All other expenses, including travel, are the responsibility of the dentist.
