About
The Virtual Board Review Course is an organized overview of dental sleep medicine and sleep medicine. Material is presented through eight hours of a pre-recorded question and answer format for the purpose of preparing dentist candidates for the ABDSM examination. The course is taught by an expert faculty at the forefront of sleep medicine and dental sleep medicine. Topics covered mirror ABDSM examination content areas. A two-hour, live Q&A session with all faculty is also included in the course.
Course Highlights
- Practice exam to help you identify the content areas to focus your study efforts.
- Comprehensive 9.25-hour pre-recorded lectures that review the practice exam questions to understand the reasoning behind both correct and incorrect answers.
- Expert-led faculty review key topics like sleep physiology, screening, telemedicine, appliance therapy, and treatment follow-up, aligned with ABDSM examination content areas.
- Live, 2-hour virtual Q&A session with all faculty members, offering real-time interaction and a recording of the session included in the course reference library for later review.
1-hour Recommended Reading Study Club Sessions hosted by Dr. Aaron Glick. Held every other month on a Wednesday, each 1-hour session will feature a journal review of the required reading list.
Upon completion of the course, participant will be able to:
- Understand the variety and scope of ABDSM certification examination content areas
- Identify sleep medicine and dental sleep medicine subject matter that may warrant more focused review or study
- Better recall evidence-based literature that supports dental sleep medicine clinical practice
- Gain confidence in comprehension of critical sleep medicine content areas such as sleep physiology and pathophysiology, comorbidities and consequences of sleep disorder breathing, sleep testing and alternative treatments.

This course includes two live, 1.5-hour question and answer sessions where faculty answer questions from attendees offering live interaction. These sessions will take place on a Saturday in June and December 2026. Registrants will receive a schedule of the Q&A sessions soon.
An email will be sent approximately one week in advance of the Q&A session with connection details.
Post Q&A session, a copy of the session recording will be available within the course reference library.
New in 2026: Recommended Reading Study Club, a brand-new AADSM opportunity for learning and collaboration.
Starting in March 2026, this interactive series will take place every other month on a Wednesday. Each 1-hour session will feature a dynamic journal review of the required reading list, led by Dr. Aaron Glick.

This is a self-paced, on-demand course with no deadlines for completion. Access to the recordings will not expire.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
All registrations are final; no refunds will be provided.
The AADSM reserves the right to cancel a course and provide a full refund should conditions warrant. The refund will only include the cost of registration for the course.Refunds will not be applied to the original payment source (i.e., credit card). Any refunds processed by the AADSM will be paid by check to individuals in the US (or e-payment to individuals who chose to set up an account in Bill.com) and by wire transfer to individuals outside of the US.
