AADSM Mastery Program
Important Update (last updated April 21, 2020)Due to spread of COVID-19, all scheduled in-person Mastery courses will be converted to a web-based platform. The same lectures and demonstrations that are provided during the in-person courses will be recorded and made available in the AADSM's Online Learning Center for registered attendees to access at any time during the following windows:
- Mastery Course I: August 1-September 15 (The Qualified Dentist exam will be offered between September 15-30.)
- Mastery Course II: October 1-November 30
- Mastery Course III: December 1-January 31
In addition to the lectures and demonstrations, the AADSM Mastery Program requires several Clinical Competency assignments that require patient interaction. Registered attendees will receive detailed instructions regarding these assignments during each course window. For an overview of Clinical Competency assignments, download the overview. Note: the deadline for the two patient cases (Bite Acquisition and Device Delivery) is now February 15, 2021.
During each course window, there will be four, live one-hour question and answer sessions where faculty will be available to answer your questions submitted both in advance and during the discussion. Participants also receive access to an online discussion board and a "virtual exhibit hall."
For those previously registered for the live courses, review the FAQ page for more information regarding travel logistics:
The AADSM Mastery Program is a comprehensive, clinically-focused and evidence-based education program that provides dentists with the necessary training and skills they need to provide oral appliance therapy to patients who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. Upon completion of the program, dentists will have the competence and confidence to provide oral appliance therapy and build relationships with patients, physicians, and payers.
This program is limited to licensed dentists. It consists of three online courses. Each of which includes lectures and demo videos (where appropriate), four live Q&A sessions, Clinical Competency assignments, an online discussion board, and a virtual exhibit hall.
The courses may be purchased individually or together as a bundle.
Note: The AADSM provides unbiased, standardized education and therefore does not reference any specific appliance or other product or service during its educational courses. Attendees of the AADSM Mastery Program will instead become familiar with the Mastery Nomenclature for Device Classification.
